To all Members,

The Annual General Meeting was successfully completed on 11th November with an attendance of 32, with Margaret Oates, President, presiding.

As Des Brookes, Chairman had indicated that he wished to stand down due to pressure at work, and Phil Gale as Treasurer due to his worsening disability, the following changes were agreed unanimously:-

• Mr Peter Hepworth as Chairman, In succession to Mr Des Brookes who has also left the Committee.
• Mr Peter Oates as Honorary Treasurer in succession to Mr Phil Gale, who has also left the committee.

Since the two new officers are already on the committee there are now two vacancies that the committee will seek to fill by co-opting. Any volunteers should contact Peter Oates, at 21, Albany Road, Douglas, IM2 3NF or e.mail marpro@mcb.net.

Those members who have not yet renewed their subscriptions and wish to do so should forward them to Stuart Houghton at 9, Ashlar Drive, Union Mills, IM4 4LJ.

Annual Christmas Party: As previously indicated this will take place at Thie Ellyn on Saturday, 4th December at 7.00 pm for 7.30pm.The catering will be provided by Jayne Kennaugh, and the Theme will be Ireland. Themed dress is most welcome and there will be a very few modest prizes. However, smart casual is also very acceptable. All new members are encouraged to come along for a wonderful evening and don’t forget to bring along something for the raffle if possible. Tickets are the bargain price of £15 and this includes top class entertainment and fantastic food! The tickets are available on a first come first served basis, so please get your payments to me as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
